Les Machineries Pronovost Inc. announces the acquisition of Cyclone Blowers.
Saint-Tite, March 27 2018 – Les Machineries Pronovost Inc. announces the acquisition of Cyclone Blowers. This new concept of inverted snowblower was developed by Mr. Jim MacKenzie, a snow removal contractor in the Ottawa region, and features an elevated impeller located ahead of the auger and that has a unique deflector.
With its innovative design and patent pending, the Cyclone blower leaves a minimum of snow in the street which allows for a significant gain of efficiency for the snow removal contractors in urban areas. This acquisition is a perfect complement to the current Pronovost inverted snowblower series. For Christian Champagne, technical director at Machineries Pronovost, the Cyclone concept represents an important step in the development of the snow removal contractor group of snowblowers”.
The Cyclone series is currently available in two sizes, 82” and 92”. Starting next season, the 82” model will be redesigned to 80” while the 92” model will incorporate many standard Pronovost components such as the chute, the chute rotation, the impeller, the chain tensioner, the shear plate, the gear box, the driveshaft, the bearings and the chain.
Founded in 1969, Machineries Pronovost started its activities repairing agricultural machines. Over the years, the highly creative spirit of the team enabled the company to develop a considerable line of innovative products and become a Canadian leader in the conception and fabrication of snow blowers and agricultural machinery.
